The Calm

The calm is defined as the time between rounds of an event.

Turn #10 for player 2 ends at 4 a.m. on Monday, and the next round does not start until 12 p.m. the same day, so the time between the previous round ending and the next round starting is referred to as the Calm.

During this time the system will compute the results of the previous round and make the pairings for the next round. This also gives players some time to learn if they are player 1 or player 2, and to strategize against their opponent prior to the round starting.
